Rich’s Houston Launch’s Montrose, Midtown Shuttle For Customer

A Gay Club In Midtown Has Officially Announced Their Club Will Launch A Complimentary Shuttle Service To Patrons.

After being open in Houston for two short months and experiencing crowds not seen in the Midtown nightclub since the late 90’s, Richs Houston has announced they will provide a complimentary ‘jitney’ shuttle bus to their patrons at no cost, allowing them another alterative to driving!

RTA (Rich’s Transit Authority) will launch this Friday (September 16,2016) and will offer round trip service to Rich’s in Midtown from 10 p.m. till 2:30 a.m., both Friday and Saturdays. Sunday’s service will be offered from 5:o0 p.m. till 10:30 p.m. The shuttle will part from Bobbitt Glass located at the corner of Fairview St. and Crocker St. (807 Fairview St.), and will offer a safe non-stop ride to the Midtown nightclub.

We want anyone that loves music, that loves lights, and wants to dance their ass off to come to Rich’s.

The shuttle service will be provided by the Houston Wave, in conjunction with Rich’s nightclub. The Houston Wave first launched as a small shuttle service for nightlife on Washington Avenue. The shuttle’s success has grown to now include the Heights, Midtown, parts of Montrose, and the company is a major supporter of the LGBTQ+ community.

“We want anyone that loves music, that loves lights, and wants to dance their ass off to come to Rich’s,” Jeff Harmon explained. Harmon is the owner of Rich’s Houston, and is credited with the revitalization of the historic LGBTQ+ nightclub. Some might know him from his popular LGBTQ+ nightclub in Bryan | College Station named Halo.

“We don’t  wish to “upset” or “intrude” on our fellow bars. We actually respect their business and want to build relationships with them all. One of the reason we chose Bobbitt Glass is because it is a centralized, respectful and neutral location in Montrose,” Harmon says.

The shuttle will feature seating for up to 15 people and living up to Houston Wave reputation, the shuttle will be equipped with a floor to ceiling ‘stripper pole,’ high energy music, club lighting, and a safe friendly driver. To bad the trip is only a 5 minute ride to and from.

Rich’s Houston is not the only LGBTQ+ nightclub to offer a shuttle for its patrons. Until its re-development, Meteor Nightclub offered its customers a complimentary ride to other LGBTQ+ establishments.

More recently, F Bar Houston launched it’s own luxury shuttle bus, the #Fxpress; that offers complimentary rides, to and from F Bar to other bars and clubs in the Montrose area.

“The idea for our shuttle has been with our team since before we opened our doors,” Harmon says. “It allows customers another option to ‘safely’ get to Richs besides driving.” Harmon explains the shuttle concept is just one of Richs new and exciting concepts they will be launching. “Including the completely re-designed ‘The Richland Room,’ formally know as the ‘Red Room.’ The will be opening soon, along with our new VIP entrance downstairs.”
