Panic! at the Disco frontman, Brendon Urie, stated in a recent interview that he is pansexual.

31-year-old and last remaining Panic! at the Disco survivor, Brendon Urie, recently stated in an interview with Paper Magazine that he identifies as pansexual.

Urie corrected Hazlehurst, stating that it was not a strip club, but just a gay club in Texas they’d been snuck into by a friend of the bouncer. He stated, “These guys would just come up and I was like, ‘I’m flattered but I’m not interested but thank you.’ They were like, ‘We’ll get you interested sweetheart.’ I was just like, This is dope.” Urie went on to talk about how his song, “Girls, Girls, Boys,” about a threesome he had as a teenager, led to become an anthem for the bisexual community.

Hazlehurst continued by asking Urie if he bought into typical “masculinity tropes,” to which he replied:

No. I’m married to a woman and I’m very much in love with her but I’m not opposed to a man because to me, I like a person. Yeah I guess you could qualify me as pansexual because I really don’t care. If a person is great, then a person is great. I just like good people, if your heart’s in the right place. I’m definitely attracted to men. It’s just people that I am attracted to.

When Hazlehurst asked if he was coming out as pansexual, Urie replied, “I guess so, I guess this is me coming out as pansexual.” Pansexuality, for those unfamiliar with it, is defined as sexuality that is “not limited in sexual choice with regard to biological sex, gender, or gender identity.”

Urie, who has been the point of gay rumors for years, especially so with ex-bandmate Ryan Ross (which Urie also addresses in the interview), previously spoke to PrideSource about how he’d “experimented in other realms of homosexuality and bisexuality”, but that he was more so attracted to women that he was to men. Urie married his wife, Sarah Orzechowski, in 2013. He recently donated $1 million dollars to LGBTQ charities.
