Dolly Parton And Katy Perry Set To Perform Duet At ACM’s
LGBT Advocates Dolly Parton, Katy Perry Will Perform Duet For The First Time Ever In Las Vegas At The Academy Of County Music Awards Next Month!
(Las Vegas, Nevada) 03/22/16– One of County music’s biggest nights just gave the LGBTQ+ community a massive reason to host loud watch parties. Country music icon Dolly Parton, a outspoken advocate for Equality, and mega pop star Katy Perry, another advocate have been added to the fabulous star-studded lineup of performers taking the stage at the 51ST ACADEMY OF COUNTRY MUSIC AWARDS live from Las Vegas.
After winning 10 ACM’ Awards, this will be Patrons first-ever live performance with Perry. Being dubbed a ‘can’t-miss duet’ by the Country Music Academy, it will surly be a high light of the night.
The star of hit films like ‘Steel Magnolias’ and ‘9 to 5,’ will also receive honors for her television movie, Dolly Parton’s Coat of Many Colors. The Tex Ritter Award is given to a movie released and/or receiving major exposure during the preceding calendar year, featuring or utilizing country music.
Parton and Perry join previously announced performers, including Jason Aldean, Kelsea Ballerini, Dierks Bentley, Luke Bryan, Cam, Kenny Chesney, Eric Church, Brett Eldredge, Sam Hunt, Tim McGraw, Thomas Rhett, Chris Stapleton, Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban, Chris Young with Cassadee Pope and Florida Georgia Line. Additional acts and presenters will be announced in the coming weeks.
The 51st Academy Of Country Music Awards, co-hosted by Luke Bryan and Dierks Bentley, is produced for television by dick clark productions and will be broadcast live from MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Sunday, April 3 at 8:00PM live ET/delayed PT on the CBS Television Network.
