Preliminary autopsy results indicate popular LGBT community member Travis Gore died of blunt force injuries after being found in the alleyway at approximately 6 a.m. between the Jefferson Theater and the old Hotel Beaumont in the East Texas town of Beaumont.
Investigators believe there is evidence that suggest there was a fall from an ‘elevated area’ of the hotel.
Beaumont Police officer Haley Walter states “a passerby found Gore’s body at 6:14 a.m. Sunday, and called police immediately.” Officials state they do not know what caused Gore to fall, “but foul play is not suspected at the moment.” The case is under investigation. Toxicology results are pending.
